Development of skills of cognitive barriers use for the organization of learner-centred teaching in English classroom.
Abstract
The article is devoted to the topical issues
of creating the conditions for learnercentred
teaching English in secondary
school by means of future teachers’
preparation for this while obtaining their
professional education in higher institution.
Great attention is paid to the cognitive
barriers potential application as the factor
for future teachers’ skills formation on
creating the opportunities for learner
autonomy and making the process of
English language teaching more effective
due to the motivation raise within the
purposefully designed tasks and activities.
There are two ways for the students’
preparation for the use of cognitive barriers
in professional sphere: doing the tasks and
activities containing cognitive barriers in the
process of their own learning and
methodological analysis if educational
potential of these barriers from the point of
view of a future teacher.
