STUDY OF THE COURSE "ENGINEERING GRAPHICS AND CAD SYSTEMS" IN THE WEB CONFERENCE MODE IN THE ATUTOR SYSTEM
Abstract
The method of distance learning of the course "Engineering Graphics and CAD Systems", which is based on the distance learning system ATUTOR is proposed. The step-by-step study of the course "Engineering Graphics and CAD Systems" in web conference mode is presented. The sequence of studying and mastering the main tools of the course is demonstrated, namely: creating a conference, name, description for which groups is created, tool "Calendar", which indicates the time of the web conference and which works in parallel with the electronic schedule of university classes. The tools "Task Box", "Tests", "Electronic Journal" allow the teacher to remotely check the correctness of graphic work in dialogue with the student, assess the level of knowledge of students, form a semester grade and put it in the electronic journal. The "electronic journal" is available to the student in the viewing mode, which allows him to follow the formation of modular and semester grades, and it simplifies teacher’s work in calculating the final scores and allows you to print information. Web conferencing allows teacher to communicate with the student online chat or skype. To facilitate the student's independent work, it is possible to add presentations and video lessons directly to the text of lectures or instructions for practical work, as well as the ability to record online classes. Mail is also available. Illustrated examples of presentation of the studied material are given. The distance course "Engineering Graphics and CAD Systems" allows in parallel with the web conference to use lecture material, as well as materials of practical and laboratory classes, which are reflected in the relevant menus and sections of the course. It is possible to maintain constant contact with the audience, in particular using the tool "Survey" during the webinar. graphics and CAD systems »
