preliminary work of the conductor on a choral score. The publication considers the
issues of performing written annotations for vocal and choral works. The proposals
in this publication are developed on the basis of the program of the academic
discipline "Choral Conducting" education and qualification level Bachelor of
Pedagogical Education. These proposals can be used in practical classes on
«Choral Conducting» and «Choral Class», as well as for independent work of
students in these disciplines.
The article will enrich students with basic knowledge, techniques and methods of
independent work on performing annotations for vocal and choral works, will help
students adapt professional theoretical and practical knowledge and skills to a
specific creative and pedagogical situation, and will contribute to the formation of
a self-educational culture of students - future teachers of musical art. The work of
a music teacher in a secondary school requires possession of a set of professional
competencies, among which the self-educational culture of the teacher is currently
a priority. A written annotation for a vocal and choral work is an analytical and
creative form of independent work of a student - a future music teacher, which, in
turn, is a means of forming a self-educational culture of a music teacher. The
purpose of the publication is to enrich students – future teachers of music art
with basic knowledge, skills and abilities in the process of analyzing a choral work
in order to model the educational process, musical and aesthetic activity, as an
important means of self-education and self-education of schoolchildren.
