Pedagogical conditions for developing future teachers’ ability to create adaptive web resources in the educational process

Abstract

The article provides theoretical substantiation and systematisation of pedagogical conditions for developing future teachers’ ability to create adaptive web resources for the educational process and outlines practical ways to implement these conditions in elective courses, using Izmail State University of Humanities as an example. The study applies theoretical analysis and synthesis, terminological, conceptual, and structural analysis, comparative analysis, and case analysis of educational and instructional materials. Key definitions of «adaptive web resources for the educational process», «future teachers’ ability to create adaptive web resources», and «pedagogical conditions» are clarified within professional teacher training. Five interrelated conditions are substantiated: (1) quality indicators of an adaptive web resource and transparent assessment criteria; (2) authentic pedagogical tasks linked to real teaching scenarios; (3) gradual scaffolding with methodological support; (4) targeted practice of adaptability and inclusive accessibility through tasks, quality checks, and criteria; (5) ethics, data security, and copyright as mandatory requirements for digital materials and solutions. The article shows how these conditions are embedded in elective courses and modules. It concludes that the proposed framework supports competence in educational web resource development as a guided, step-by-step, and criterion-referenced outcome that integrates didactic relevance, technological correctness, accessibility, and compliance with ethical and legal requirements. Scientific novelty lies in aligning these pedagogical conditions and specifying implementation mechanisms in elective courses. Practical value includes updating syllabi, designing tasks, and conducting criterion-referenced assessment of students’ web products. Further research will develop pilot assessment tools and empirically test effectiveness across higher education contexts.
