Partnership between parents and preschool education institutions during the adaptation period of children of early age

Abstract

The author of the article has discussed the problem of adaptation of young children to the conditions of preschool education institutions and substantiated the importance of partnership between parents and teachers in this process. It has been noted that the period of a child's entry into a new social environment is accompanied by a change in their usual way of life, new rules and requirements, which can cause emotional stress, anxiety, and difficulties in adaptation. It has been emphasised that the success of adaptation largely depends on the coordination of adults' actions, their support, understanding of the child's individual needs, and the creation of an emotionally safe educational environment. Scientific approaches to interpreting the concept of adaptation have been analysed and factors contributing to the successful completion of the adaptation period have been identified. The important role of the family as the primary environment for the socialisation of the child and the importance of parental support in forming a sense of security and psychological comfort have been emphasised. It has been determined that effective interaction between the preschool education institution and the family should be based on the principles of trust, open communication, mutual respect, and shared responsibility for the child's development. Special attention has been paid to the role of the educator in supporting the child during the adaptation period and the necessity of an individual approach, taking into account the peculiarities of family upbringing. The importance of purposeful training of future educators for partnership with parents in the process of professional training in higher education institutions has been substantiated. The author has presented the practical experience of establishing the Academy of Conscious Parenting as a form of educational and advisory support for families. It has been concluded that partnership between parents and teachers is an important condition for the successful adaptation of young children to the educational environment of a preschool institution.
